Nintendo DS, full name Nintendo Dual Screen, is the successor to the Game Boy Advance / Gameboy Advance SP handheld game console. Its distinguishing feature is the presence of two screens. Control is realized with buttons, a touch screen and an internal microphone, and the console also supports Wi-Fi in the range of 10-30 meters. It supports stereo sound and is compatible with GBA games.
In October 2008, a new Nintendo DSi model was announced, even thinner, equipped with 2 cameras, an SDHC card slot, 256MB of internal flash memory and an upgrade to a 3.25-inch screen. Unfortunately, the GBA Gym slot has been removed, as well as the DSi’s protection against Homebrew software including emulators. However, some computer enthusiasts have successfully cracked the protection and created emulation software.
Nintendo DS is a very popular emulation system today on modern systems such as PCs, Android and iOS devices. ds roms games and emulators are open to everyone and can be downloaded for free. If you really want to play Pokémon, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart DS and other games, but don’t have a console, it’s time to try them out with an emulator.
